Subject: Recent Fires in Limassol
Cosmos Insurance Company Public Ltd (the “Company”) informs investors that the recent fires in Limassol have caused damage to a number of premises insured by the Company.
Specifically, to date, damage has been recorded to more than fourteen (14) premises, of which three (3) have been completely destroyed. The estimated financial impact is expected to be around €500,000, with the net cost to the Company after reinsurance amounting to €250,000.
The Company has already settled most of the claims by paying the relevant compensation to the beneficiaries.
The final financial cost of the damage caused by the fires is expected to be determined upon completion of the insurance compensation process, which is expected to be completed in the coming days.
The Company has been supporting its policyholders from the outset, providing every possible assistance, and will immediately issue a relevant update in the event of any change in the above estimates.
